Dear God,

180dayjourneytogod:

I want to do your will, show me the path to you that my hands and my heart will only know you. May there only be room for you in my soul and in-kindle in my heart a flame to match like no other.

Our father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name, thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day, our daily bread, and for give  us our trespasses, as we forgive us who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.

Amen.

Let us understand that God is a physician, and that suffering is a medicine for salvation, not a punishment for damnation. St Augustine (via wherewisdombegins)

Take the time to watch this video. This is the story of Philip Johnson. This is a story, no, this is the witness, of faith, bravery, love, and most of all, trust.

I am ever thankful for his testimony and his strength. We are privileged to have Philip as a part of the family at Saint Catherine’s and I joyfully look forward to his ordination. Join the diocese of Raleigh and I in prayer for Philip as he lives out his faith, accepting and embracing his cross. Let him be an example to us all.

“I struggle with distractions when I pray…”

It is only in the light of grace that we can see God’s revelation as true and certain. That is the working of the theological virtue of faith, which takes away our blindness toward God and , in truth, ourselves. — Father James M. Sullivan (Magnificat Year of Faith Companion)
I want to bring the truth to those trapped in lies and darkness, to tell them that God is there, He is real, and He loves them - no matter what. — Francine Rivers, author of “Redeeming Love” (via fighterofthegoodfight)
